What does it mean to have a little chronic inflammation in both lungs?

Bipolar oligochronic inflammation is an imaging term that refers to the presence of calcifications, fibrosis, and nodules in the patient’s lungs, mostly due to untreated respiratory infections.

Minor chronic inflammation of both lungs refers to abnormal tissue changes that occur in the body due to preexisting respiratory diseases such as pneumonia, bronchitis, tuberculosis, etc., which are not treated in time or are more severe.

The manifestations are also very diverse and can be fibrosis, calcification, nodules, etc. of the lung tissue. Less chronic inflammation of both lungs can appear at all times of the disease, even long after its cure.

If the chronic inflammation is small in extent and the patient has no symptoms, then it usually requires no treatment. Whereas, if it is more extensive and affects lung function, it requires prompt medical attention and anti-infective treatment under doctor’s supervision.
