What is a subplasma myxoma?

Subplasma fibroids are fibroids that grow on the surface of the uterus or grow outward from the surface of the uterus, accounting for about 20-30% of all fibroids. As the fibroid grows, the blood supply to the blood vessels becomes insufficient, which may cause the fibroid to degenerate and necrosis, and then the patient may experience fever, pain, or even the fibroid may fall off. Patients with subplasmacytic leiomyosarcoma must go to hospital immediately if they have abdominal pain, abdominal cramps, back pain, especially sudden abdominal pain, and severe pain combined with fever. This may lead to subplasmalemma twisting and necrosis, which must be treated by emergency surgery.
