A small bulge in the eyelid does not require laser treatment if it is caused by blepharitis or a blepharocyst. Blepharitis is caused by an acute bacterial infection of the eyelid structures, such as the glands or eyelash follicles, and the bulge in the eyelid is accompanied by localized pain, which needs to be treated with anti-infective methods, such as applying antibiotic eye ointment on the eyelid area, commonly used are ofloxacin ophthalmic ointment, tobramycin ophthalmic ointment, and so on. Blepharophalangeal cysts are formed when the opening of the blepharophalangeal gland is blocked by secretions, resulting in the subsequent secretions not being able to be discharged smoothly, and the cysts are formed by stagnation, which is usually not accompanied by pain, and needs to be promoted by applying warm compresses with warm towels to promote its recession. Neither requires treatment with a laser, and lasers do not promote recovery of either. A small bulge on the eyelid may also be caused by other reasons, it is recommended that patients go to the ophthalmology department of the hospital in a timely manner, by the doctor after a comprehensive examination to develop a treatment plan.
