What do you need to take care of after cosmetic surgery?

The final result of cosmetic surgery not only depends on the surgery itself, but also on some correct post-operative care measures (for example, one to two months after surgery, no or less spicy food and seafood, to reduce swelling, etc.), and most of these measures need to be carried out by the patients themselves. In addition, there will be some postoperative situations that worry people (for example, the incision will be enlarged and red for about one month after surgery, and gradually fade after three months), which are mostly normal phenomena during the recovery period. In order to let you have a good idea of the post-operative period and treat it correctly, here, for some common cosmetic surgery, we will explain it respectively. (A) Double eyelid post-operative precautions: Whether it is buried or cut double eyelid, there is a period of time after surgery to reduce the swelling until the natural process. During this time, the eyelids will be red and swollen, and even the conjunctiva may become congested in the short term, and it varies from person to person, so don’t worry too much, it will gradually disappear with the development of time. During the recovery period, the swelling of both eyelids may be out of sync, which may appear as bilateral asymmetry within a short period of time (usually one month), but there is no need to worry too much, as they can eventually recover. 1.Buried double eyelids: Buried double eyelids generally recover faster after surgery, mostly natural in about two to three weeks. The buried double eyelid can generally be washed after 4 or 5 days, before applying erythromycin eye ointment inside the small mouth of the buried line, twice a day. When washing your face or putting on makeup within three months after the surgery, remember not to rub your eyelids hard to avoid the buried threads breaking off and causing the double eyelids to disappear. After three months, the shape of double eyelids is basically stable, even if you rub your eyelids hard, double eyelids usually do not disappear easily. The buried double eyelid surgery generally does not need cold compresses or hot compresses. 2, incision double eyelid: prepare ice bags before surgery (you can put two small bags of bagged milk in the refrigerator to freeze the production), immediately after the completion of surgery with moderate hand pressure on the gauze in the operating area for 20-30 minutes to prevent post-operative bleeding and reduce swelling. After that, 3-5 hours of cold compresses with ice bags in the surgical area, cold compress method can be taken intermittent operation, each cold compress an hour, rest for a quarter of an hour, and then the next cold compress. Mainly cold compresses on the day of surgery, the next day you can remove the gauze yourself, the incision coated with eye ointment, twice a day, until 5-6 after the removal of stitches. The next day after the removal of the line can generally wash the face normally, no need to apply eye ointment. If you open your eyes at the same time, the traces of the open eye incision are generally less obvious only after three months, and you can insist on using scar cream after the removal of the stitches (cumene or Conrad can be used). However, it should be noted that some people will be allergic to scar medication. If you feel local itching and skin redness after using the medication, you should stop using it immediately. The recovery time of cut double eyelid is as fast as two to three weeks, and as slow as two to three months or more, which varies according to individual body type, so it is normal to have swollen eyelids and unnatural double eyelids for less than three months, so be patient and wait. (2) The upper eyelid lift wrinkle removal surgery (commonly known as eyebrow lift or brow cut) post-operative precautions: This surgery is mainly used to lift the upper eyelid and reduce the crow’s feet at the outer corners of the eyes, and the pre and post-operative precautions are the same as those for open double eyelids. This is not an infection, but a common phenomenon during the recovery period, and usually disappears naturally after two or three months. (3) Precautions after rhinoplasty: If you have a cold, severe rhinitis, or boils on the back of the nose before surgery, it is a contraindication to surgery, wait for improvement before making an appointment with the doctor. Swelling will be more obvious two or three days after surgery, generally about a week of moderate or mild swelling, about two weeks of basic swelling. There is no need to apply cold compresses after rhinoplasty surgery to avoid touching the prosthesis and causing displacement. If you have to wear glasses, you have to hold and place them lightly with both hands symmetrically to avoid the nasal prosthesis from being skewed. One week after surgery, apply eye ointment to the operated area (half of it is at the edge of the right nostril), once in the morning and once in the evening, and remove the stitches for one week. During the recovery period (usually three weeks), the nose may not look right because of the swelling, so don’t be too anxious. If you do have doubts, you can see the doctor for an interview to determine. (D) post-operative precautions: whether internal or external, the first three days of eye bag surgery is generally swollen relatively strong, three days after the gradual reduction of swelling, generally 10-14 days basic swelling, relatively speaking, recovery is still relatively fast. Post-operative precautions are the same as those for open double eyelid. Inner eye bag surgery because of the opening from the conjunctiva, some people ball conjunctiva congestion ‘red eyes’, generally within half a month to subside, are not too anxious, no special treatment, wait for slow recovery. (E) post-operative chin pad precautions: the day after surgery can be cold ice packs, after surgery to eat warm and cold liquid food, do not eat spiny ribs or fish food, do not brush your teeth for ten days, before and after meals chlorhexidine mouthwash rinse mouth. Do not remove the fixed gauze strips given by the doctor after the operation, generally fixed for more than five days to avoid displacement of the prosthesis. Generally, the swelling will disappear in two to four weeks, but it will take a little longer for some people, so we have to be patient.
