Iron can reduce intestinal peristalsis, causing constipation. It should be noted that taking iron supplements can produce black stools due to incomplete absorption of iron, which generally does not affect the use of medication. When taking iron, not with strong tea, coffee at the same time, so as not to affect the absorption of iron, black stools. It can be taken together with vitamin C, which is favorable to iron absorption.

Iron should not be used for a long time, and in the process of treatment and medication need to regularly check the blood image and serum iron content. Patients can also eat more iron-rich foods, such as lean meat, spinach, fungus, pig liver, etc. Generally, it is not recommended to supplement iron with medication alone.
