None of the gallbladder polyps have any obvious signs or symptoms. The most important sign is abdominal pain and discomfort, and gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and vomiting may occur. Gallbladder polyps, if located in the neck of the gallbladder, may cause pain and discomfort in the upper abdomen due to contraction of the gallbladder after meals, mostly after eating greasy food or high cholesterol food. Multiple gallbladder polyps generally do not require special treatment, but once accompanied by the following high-risk factors, special attention should be paid to: First, single polyp or polyps with a diameter of > 1cm. Second, gallbladder polyps combined with abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms of discomfort. Third, non-tip or wide base polyps, adenomatous polyps are considered. The patient’s age is >50 years old. The gradual enlargement of gallbladder polyps in consecutive ultrasound examinations. Sixth, gallbladder polyps combined with gallbladder stones. Once the above symptoms appear, it should be paid attention to, and should be operated. At present, the more widely used surgical method is laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which is sent to the pathology examination after the resection to clarify the diagnosis.
