Is it possible for a stroke patient to recover at home?

Many people think that rehabilitation is just a matter of moving your hands and feet, but in fact there is a great deal of knowledge involved, including neurorehabilitation, kinesiology and anatomy. Improper rehabilitation is not only not beneficial, but may also cause damage. For example, in patients with lower limb paralysis, some patients start to practice walking with the help of others as soon as they have a little mobility in their lower limbs, but in fact, there are rules about when to start walking and how to walk for stroke patients. We also often find in our clinic that some patients who do rehabilitation at home by themselves will have problems such as shoulder subluxation and shoulder pain, which have very serious consequences. Rehabilitation training is not as simple as one might think. Therefore, patients who are in a position to do so must train step by step under the guidance of a rehabilitation therapist, accurate to every muscle and every movement, in order to achieve the best rehabilitation results.
