Renal CT and renal color ultrasound are both commonly used for checking renal diseases, there is no such thing as which one is more accurate, but the resolution of CT is higher than that of color ultrasound. For example, in the examination of urinary stone disease, CT can find stones with a diameter of more than 1mm, and is not easily affected by intestinal contents, breathing movement and other factors, in addition to two-dimensional and three-dimensional reconstruction; but color ultrasound can only detect stones with a diameter of more than 2mm, and is easily affected by the pelvis and intestinal contents. However, color ultrasound is non-invasive, while CT has radiation. Therefore, color ultrasound is preferred for kidney stones and stones at the upper end of the ureter, while CT is generally preferred for stones in the middle and lower parts of the ureter. Ultrasound and CT can generally observe the size and shape of the kidney, stones, tumors, and so on, and there is no obvious advantage or disadvantage. It is recommended that patients with any discomfort, regular hospitals, according to the specific condition of the doctor’s advice to choose the most appropriate examination method.
