Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) test is the most sensitive way to diagnose early pregnancy, the normal value is 0~5mlU/ml, if HCG is less than 0.2mlU/ml, it suggests that there is no pregnancy or the test is too early.
Unpregnant: around the 6th day after fertilization, the trophoblast layer of the fertilized egg cell is formed and starts to secrete HCG, if the HCG is increased, it means that the fertilized egg has been formed and secretes HCG, which suggests that it is pregnant, and the HCG is less than 0.2 mlU/ml, which indicates that it is not pregnant.
False negative: the fertilized egg has formed, but the trophoblast cells have not yet started to secrete HCG, which cannot be detected in the mother’s blood. HCG less than 0.2 mlU/ml does not mean that there is no pregnancy, and it is possible that the test was conducted too early, so it is recommended to wait for a few days to repeat the test.
HCG quantitative test, there are specific values, the value of the changes in the judgment of intrauterine pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, the success of abortion and trophoblastic diseases, etc., the test does not require fasting.
