The aortic sinus refers to the part of the aorta emanating from the heart, i.e. the root of the aorta. The causes of aortic sinus widening are as follows: 1. aortic lesions, including aortitis and aortic sinus widening caused by ascending aortic aneurysm; 2. aortic valve lesions, such as severe aortic valve stenosis, can also cause aortic sinus widening; 3. hypertension can also cause aortic widening, including aortic sinus widening. In general, aortic sinus widening can be treated from the root cause, and if it is caused by hypertension, blood pressure control can be performed. If it is caused by aortitis or aortic aneurysm, intervention is also needed.
