When you face the threat of tuberculosis

In recent years, it has become increasingly evident that doctors are seeing more and more TB patients from the migrant population in their outpatient clinics, and are often confronted with their anxious and helpless eyes. TB epidemiological surveillance in recent years has shown that two major groups, migrant workers and students, have become one of the main targets of TB attacks, and a significant proportion of the new TB patients detected in Shanghai each year are migrant migrants. As a tuberculosis doctor, I would like to offer a few suggestions of my own to help this group of patients. 1, love the body, maintain health The mobile population is mostly young people working or studying abroad, out of home, the lack of family care and love, many people in the busy pace of life in the metropolis, do not pay much attention to the correct and reasonable arrangement of personal life and living, over time developed a lot of unhealthy habits, which led to a decline in immunity, but also planted the hidden disease, TB often at this time The tuberculosis often takes advantage of the situation. In addition, it is very important to pay attention to rest, if necessary, you need to temporarily stop work or study, meditation, do not care too much about the momentary gains and losses, as the saying goes, “the body is the capital of the revolution”, compared to academic career, health is a prerequisite, do not know – once you lose your body, you will lose the whole future. Therefore, it is best to arrange their own work and rest time, work and study according to their ability, should not be overloaded, coupled with a regular diet, you can stay away from sub-health. 2, relaxed mentality, timely medical treatment Mobile patients with tuberculosis before the diagnosis of medical behavior is different, many people hold the mentality of delaying as long as possible, small diseases do not medical treatment, dragged into a major disease is often the author encountered in the outpatient clinic patients to visit the state. So once you have cough, cough phlegm, fever, weakness, night sweats and other symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, you should promptly seek medical attention. At the same time, once diagnosed with tuberculosis, please do not panic. Although tuberculosis is stubborn, it is not an incurable disease, and most patients can be cured with timely and correct treatment. However, the current preferential policies for TB treatment in the city are not restricted by household registration and provide nutrition and transportation subsidies for mobile TB patients. Of course, relaxation is not the same as not caring, but following medical advice and patiently completing the whole treatment. Many patients relax their treatment because of the obvious improvement of symptoms, and reduce or even stop taking medication on their own will often lead to the loss of previous achievements. If conditions do not allow, returning home to recuperate is not a bad idea, but please take the initiative to inform the doctor in charge before leaving. When you return home or go to a new place of residence, you should also take the initiative to continue treatment at the local TB designated medical and health institutions.
