  Lymphoma ≠ death, some can be completely cured Lymphoma is called lymphoma when malignant changes occur in lymphocytes, and its incidence has gradually increased in recent years. Lymphoma can occur in any part of the body except the nails, hair, and teeth. It is characterized clinically by painless, progressive lymph node enlargement, often accompanied by fever, night sweats, emaciation, large liver and spleen, and in advanced stages, anemia and cachexia. However, having lymphoma does not mean death because, more than 80% of Hodgkin’s lymphoma can be cured and the treatment rate of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma has reached 50-60%.  Director Zhang first met Lin in the late 1980s when he was diagnosed with gastric B-cell lymphoma at the age of 35. He visited many hospitals, but the conclusions invariably gave him a death ultimatum. Lin said with a sad face, “Every hospital said I could only live for six months, and I wanted to come to you to try.” Dr. Zhang said, “Autologous bone marrow transplantation may cure you, but it requires your cooperation. Lin seemed to see the hope of life at this time, nodded his head repeatedly to agree. After the efforts of the medical staff, the bone marrow transplant was successfully completed. Lin’s spirit was nearly broken, his eyes were full of anger and grief. Dr. Zhang patiently communicated with him and encouraged him to continue his brave fight against the disease. Ten years later, Dr. Zhang has become Director Zhang. During the program, Lin emotionally shared his story – he thought he was leaving this wonderful world soon, when his daughter was just 3 years old. Now he is holding his 3-year-old granddaughter and still happy enough to share his life with everyone ……  On September 17, 2011, Lin invited the medical staff who had treated him to spend the Mid-Autumn Festival together. During the dinner, Lin said excitedly, “You saved me, and I will use a good heart to help more people in the future. ……” The medical staff also exclaimed, “This is a special gathering, and the road to fight lymphoma is a long way to go. “  The ward of the Lymphoma Department of Shanxi University Hospital, an elegant environment, a 20-year-old sunny girl Lili was diagnosed with bone lymphoma, she has been lying on the hospital bed for 10 months, lively and cheerful she became depressed. Her pain was heartbreaking for the medical staff. Director Zhang designed the best treatment plan for her, and a year later, she stood up and loved to draw.
