It is not entirely normal to be able to express milk after six months of weaning. After weaning, there may still be a small amount of residual milk in the milk ducts, which is not absorbed by the body or takes a certain amount of time to be absorbed. After six months of weaning, if you squeeze both breasts with your hands, a small amount of milk will be discharged, which is a normal phenomenon, and it is recommended that you don’t squeeze the breasts with your hands, but there are some situations that need to be taken seriously.
1. If after weaning, there are different degrees of milk discharge from both breasts without squeezing with hands, considering the existence of prolactin increase, you need to go to the hospital for MRI to exclude pituitary microadenoma.
2. If you find lumps and nodules in your breasts by squeezing and touching them with your hands, you need to go to the hospital for breast ultrasound to rule out breast diseases.
If you can still squeeze milk after six months of weaning, you need to go to the hospital in time for examination to rule out diseases, in addition to normal physiological conditions.
