Both pleural fluid and ascites should be considered as tuberculosis in infectious diseases, immune system diseases and tumor-related diseases. 1. Tuberculosis in infectious diseases: such as intestinal tuberculosis, the patient has intestinal tuberculosis and spreads to the abdominal cavity, causing peritoneal tuberculosis, and the infected place is easy to be adhered and form a mass. Finally, it causes excessive ascites, abdominal distension, low fever, physical fatigue and loss of appetite. 2. Immune system diseases: such as lupus erythematosus, lupus erythematosus will affect the lung tissue, causing pneumonia, the impact on the heart, resulting in cardiac insufficiency, cardiopulmonary system diseases can also lead to pleural effusion. Autoimmune hepatitis can also lead to both pleural fluid and ascites. 3. Tumor-related diseases: tumor cells migrate toward the pleura. Systemic metastasis often occurs in the advanced stage of malignant tumors. When the tumor cells migrate to the pleura, it will cause the pleural cells to secrete a large amount of cancerous exudate, which will gather in the pleural cavity, thus leading to the formation of pleural fluid. If the symptoms of both pleural fluid and ascites persist without relief, timely medical treatment is needed.
