Are the remedies for cirrhosis of the liver real?

The statement that “there is a prescription for cirrhosis of the liver” is not true. The treatment of cirrhosis includes protection or improvement of liver function, treatment of portal hypertension and its complications, surgery and so on.
1. Protecting or improving liver function: removing or alleviating the causes of disease, such as anti-hepatitis B virus treatment (commonly used drugs include entecavir, etc.), anti-hepatitis C virus treatment (commonly used drugs include interferon, ribavirin, etc.), etc.; careful use of liver-damaging drugs; maintenance of enteral nutrition; protection of hepatocytes, etc.
2. Treatment of portal hypertension and its complications: patients with ascites can restrict sodium and water intake, diuretic (commonly used drugs such as furosemide, spironolactone, etc.), transjugular intrahepatic portacaval shunt, discharge of ascites plus albumin infusion, etc.; patients with ruptured and bleeding esophagogastric fundal varices can be treated with proton pump inhibitors (e.g., omeprazole, etc.), non-selective β-receptor antagonists (e.g., propranolol, etc.), and endoscopic ligation therapy, etc., if necessary. Ligation treatment, etc.
3. Surgery: including all kinds of shunt, cut-off and flow restriction surgery for treating portal hypertension. For patients with end-stage cirrhosis, liver transplantation is also available.
If you are diagnosed with cirrhosis, you should go to regular hospitals for consultation, do not believe in the so-called prescription, so as to avoid adverse effects, and the drugs should be used according to the doctor’s prescription.
