The ovaries are located in the pelvic cavity of the lower abdomen and are usually not palpable. When doing ultrasound for suspected ovarian and uterine lesions, the patient needs to be asked to drink more water to fill the bladder and make the ovaries and uterus protrude, which allows better observation of the ovaries and uterus and facilitates diagnosis. The ultrasound will give different reference values for the size of the ovaries depending on the age, which facilitates a clear judgment. In addition, whether the uterus is prematurely mature and the number of follicles in the ovaries are feasible for ultrasound examination to provide accurate data for early intervention.
