It can strengthen the spleen, tonify the middle, promote diuresis and eliminate swelling, and can treat edema and bloating, dysuria and diarrhea caused by deficiency of the spleen and dampness; this medicine can also exude dampness and remove paralysis, and relieve the tendons and veins, so it can treat dampness paralysis and tendons and veins contracture and pain. This medicine can also clear the heat of the intestines and lungs, eliminate carbuncles and expel pus (eliminating carbuncles and discharging pus), which can treat carbuncles (carbuncles occurring in the intestines and bowels, manifested by fever, pain in the right abdomen, and palpable lumps) and carbuncles of the lungs; this medicine also has the effect of clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat and toxins and evil qi in the body), which can treat warts (sarcoma growing on the skin) and cancerous tumors. It should be noted that Coix lacryma is slippery in nature and should be used with caution in pregnant women. Adverse reactions are not clear. 2.
