When the platelet count is high, the pressure area is high, and the distribution width is low, it indicates a high platelet count, a high platelet content in the blood, and a low degree of variability in platelet volume, respectively, and the most meaningful of these three indicators is the item of platelet count. 1. The normal value of platelet count is (100~300)×10^9/L. Thrombocytosis is considered when the platelet count is greater than 400×10^9/L. If the platelet count does not reach 400×10^9/L, just a mild increase is not significant. Pathological thrombocytosis is common in myeloproliferative diseases, such as chronic granulocytic leukemia, primary thrombocythemia, acute and chronic inflammatory diseases, iron deficiency anemia, splenectomy patients and so on. 2. High platelet pressure area refers to high platelet content in blood, but platelet pressure area is also related to platelet volume, and the reason for pathologic pressure area increase is the same as above. 3. And low distribution width refers to the relatively uniform size of platelet volume. Generally there is no greater clinical significance. The main functions of platelets are coagulation and hemostasis, repairing broken blood vessels. If high platelet count, high platelet pressure and low distribution width are found, please consult your physician and follow the doctor’s instructions to improve the follow-up examination and treatment.
