Do you check for hepatitis B in your regular physical?

Ordinary health checkups usually do not do pathogenetic tests for hepatitis B, but they do do do liver function tests.
In ordinary health checkups, only liver function tests are done, and pathogenic tests such as hepatitis B surface antigen, surface antibody, e antigen, e antibody and hepatitis B core antibody are not done. However, liver function tests such as alanine aminotransferase, glutamine aminotransferase, and bilirubin levels will be done to see if there is any liver damage.
Hepatitis B carriers who do not have any liver damage are not detected in the general physical examination for employment or admission to school. However, some special physical examinations, such as the military physical examination, will check for hepatitis B surface antigen.
If liver function abnormalities are detected during a routine physical examination, it is recommended to undergo further hepatitis B pathogenetic testing.
If you are a hepatitis B infected person or a hepatitis B carrier, you need to go to the hospital for regular checkups because of the possibility of turning into a hepatitis patient.
