Bile duct cancer is highly malignant and has poor prognosis. Radical surgical resection is the only way to cure bile duct cancer at present. The five-year survival rate of cholangiocarcinoma after radical resection is 20%-43%, and its survival rate after radical resection is basically similar regardless of the site of occurrence. The majority of patients with cholangiocarcinoma that cannot be surgically resected often die within one year, and the prognosis is extremely poor. As bile duct cancer surgery is relatively complex and difficult, the prognosis of the disease is clearly related to the radical resection, so it is recommended that medical units with rich experience should perform the corresponding standardized radical surgery.
