Content of the Particle Knife Profile

The new non-vascular pathway minimally invasive particle knife technology: “particle knife” is called “intra-tumor stereotactic implantation of radioactive particles”, which is developed through “intra-tumor radiotherapy planning system (TPS)”. The treatment plan is formulated, and radioactive particles are implanted into the tumor tissue with minimally invasive technology after precise localization under CT guidance, and the implanted particles continuously release low-energy gamma rays to kill tumor cells to achieve the purpose of tumor treatment. Indications for particle knife treatment: 1. Untreated primary tumors such as prostate cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, etc. 2.Important functional tissues that need to be preserved or the surgery will involve important organs, such as deep brain tumors. 3.Surgical resection is not willing to be performed for diseases such as endometrial cancer, tongue cancer, etc. 4.Metastatic tumor lesions or postoperative isolated tumor metastases that lose their surgical value, such as multiple metastases of lung and liver. 5.Inoperable primary cases, such as giant liver cancer, lung cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, etc. 6.Tumor infiltrating important organs cannot be completely removed. 7.Cases in which external radiotherapy is not effective or fails. 8.After chemotherapy, the tumor is resistant or insensitive to chemotherapy, and the tumor still progresses after multiple chemotherapy regimens. 9.Tumors that are not sensitive to radiotherapy and lose the opportunity of surgery, such as various soft tissue tumors, pancreatic cancer, etc.
