In general, light activity is allowed after 3 days of blood donation, jogging after 1 week, and more strenuous exercise after 1 month. A normal healthy adult donates 300-400ml of blood at a time. The body will lose some blood cells, some plasma, which contains water, inorganic ions and proteins, which can be restored to the pre-donation level within 1 week, but red blood cells are produced at a slower rate and take about 1 month to return to the pre-donation level. In addition, do not move immediately after blood donation. You need to observe the blood donation room for 5-10 minutes before leaving, do not exercise strenuously on the same day, and do not stay up late for recreational activities. Staying up late and in crowded places can increase the chance of infection. If you participate in more strenuous exercise within a short period of time after blood donation, you may easily experience dizziness, weakness, panic, chest tightness and other discomforts, which should be avoided with care.
