Whether or not one sweats when drinking alcohol is more relevant to one’s constitution. Some people have a poor ability to metabolise alcohol and get drunk easily, and when they do they tend to sweat. In addition, if you drink alcohol without a meal and on an empty stomach, you may also experience transient hypoglycaemia, leading to profuse sweating. People with diseases such as hyperthyroidism, adrenal pheochromocytoma and hypertension may also experience profuse sweating as their capillaries dilate after drinking alcohol.
