Prednisone acetate tablets and prednisone are glucocorticoids, which are used clinically for the treatment of severe acute infections, as well as for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, organ transplant rejection and allergic diseases, and for the treatment of patients in shock. The main adverse effects of this drug are digestive system complications, such as gastric or duodenal ulcers and bleeding, or electrolyte disturbances such as water and sodium retention in the body. It is contraindicated in patients with hypertension, gastroduodenal ulcers, psychiatric disorders, myocardial infarction, electrolyte abnormalities, and should be used with caution in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency.
