There are three main types of allergic rhinitis in Chinese medicine. 1. Patients with lung deficiency and cold sensation in the nasal orifices generally have unbearable nasal itching, frequent sneezing episodes, a large amount of clear nasal discharge, pale and edematous nasal mucosa, which can be accompanied by nasal congestion and reduced sense of smell. 2. The patient is short of breath and lazy in speech, has a poor appetite and is prone to loose stools. 3. Kidney Yang deficiency and loss of nasal warmth, this patient has perennial episodes of nasal itching, sneezing and clear water nasal discharge, which is heavier in the morning and evening.
