The treatment varies depending on the depth of the location of the entry. Ocular foreign bodies include: conjunctival foreign bodies, corneal foreign bodies and deep foreign bodies.
1. Conjunctival foreign body: generally located in the surface of the conjunctiva or conjunctival sac, can move with the rotation of the eyeball, can use saline to flush the eye, if not relieved, can go to the hospital, under the slit lamp to remove.
2. Corneal foreign body: attached to the surface of the cornea, the position is fixed, you need to go to the hospital, use professional instruments to remove, do not try to take out by yourself, so as not to cause infection.
3. Deep foreign body: Due to the huge external force, the foreign body can enter into the lens, vitreous body and the back wall of the eyeball, and there will be a significant decrease in visual acuity and eye pain and other changes. Do not squeeze the eye at this time, first use sterile gauze to bandage the eye, and then go to the hospital as soon as possible.
It is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible when there is something in the eye.
