Is belching and farting a precursor to stomach cancer?

Belching and farting is not necessarily a precursor of stomach cancer. Stomach cancer usually has no specific precursor symptoms. Belching and farting is just a symptom, which does not identify any disease, so it is not possible to determine that belching and farting is a precursor of gastric cancer based on belching and farting. There are many reasons for belching and farting, most of them are gastrointestinal dysfunction, dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic gastritis and other diseases, which can present the above symptoms, and can be accompanied by clinical symptoms and manifestations of corresponding diseases. Gastric cancer may not have any symptom in early stage, but may also have hidden pain in upper abdomen, fullness in upper abdomen, loss of appetite, belching, nausea and other symptoms. Diagnosis of gastric cancer needs to be based on symptoms, signs and auxiliary examinations (e.g. e-gastroscopy, CT, cytology, pathology, etc.) to make a clear diagnosis. If patients have unexplained persistent epigastric pain, accompanied by anemia, emaciation and other symptoms, they need to go to the hospital for relevant examinations to make a clear diagnosis, and they should not use medicines indiscriminately.
