Stem cells are undifferentiated multifunctional cells with self-replicating potential. Currently, the clinical applications of stem cells are hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), myocardial diseases and stem cell therapy for neurological diseases.
1. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: it is divided into autologous, allogeneic and homozygous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. It is applicable to many kinds of myeloproliferative tumors, such as various types of leukemia and lymphoma. Among them, allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is more widely used, but there is rejection reaction.
2. Stem cell therapy for cardiomyopathies and neurological diseases: using the multi-directional differentiation characteristics of stem cells to differentiate into the required cardiomyocytes and neuronal cells to achieve the purpose of treating the corresponding diseases, which is not widely used at present.
It is recommended that patients with relevant abnormalities should go to the hospital in time, complete the relevant examinations and receive standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
