High nucleotidase may also be caused by physiological factors. High nucleotidase caused by physiological factors has no clinical symptoms and can return to normal after removing the trigger. Many liver lesions can also cause high nucleotidase, both benign and malignant lesions. However, the more common ones are obstructive jaundice, primary liver cancer, and various acute and chronic hepatitis. Clinically, nucleotidase can be used for diagnosis and differential diagnosis of diseases of the hepatobiliary system. Of course, when these hepatobiliary system diseases are in remission after treatment, nucleotide enzymes may also decrease to a certain extent, so they can also be used to assess the recovery of the disease. However, nucleotidase is not a routine test in clinical practice. Basic tests such as alkaline phosphatase, transaminase, glutamyl transpeptidase and bilirubin are sufficient for the diagnosis of hepatobiliary diseases.
