What are the consequences of potassium cyanide poisoning

Potassium cyanide poisoning is a very serious case of poisoning, the consequences of which can lead to death and is quite serious if not treated in time. Usually the clinical manifestations of acute potassium cyanide poisoning are divided into four stages: 1. Prodromal stage. Patients will have eye and respiratory tract irritation, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other digestive symptoms.2. Dyspnea stage. Patients will have tightness in the chest, dyspnea, and dizziness, headache, palpitations, increased heart rate, and the mucous membranes of the skin will be a characteristic cherry red color.3. Convulsive phase. The patient will have tonic spasms, angular recoil, and even urinary and fecal incontinence.4. Paralytic period. If not rescued in time, the patient will have peripheral muscle relaxation, loss of reflexes, coma, drop in blood pressure, irregular respiration, and finally cardiac arrest leading to death.
