Risks of Laser Mole Removal Surgery

Laser nevus spotting is more common, i.e. removal of dark pigmented nevus by modulated laser, such as 1064, 755 or carbon dioxide laser. There are certain indications for this kind of surgery, but it mainly relies on the doctor’s clinical diagnosis. If some moles have the possibility of malignant transformation before surgery, it is not recommended to use laser treatment, and pathological examination or surgical excision can be carried out first. Benign moles can be treated by laser, but it may also bring the following risks: 1, pigmentation: mostly temporary pigmentation, oral vitamin C, local topical hydroquinone cream can be used for treatment; 2, skin damage: mainly manifested as burns, which can lead to skin burns, erythema, blisters and so on. Pigmented nevus enlargement, some lasers not only fail to burn off the pigmented nevus but also irritate the nevus to enlarge and even a few pigmented nevus enlargement.
