What are the symptoms of myelitis?

Symptoms of spinal cord infection include motor and sensory disorders, autonomic dysfunction and so on. 1. Motor disorders: the acute stage manifests as spinal shock and delayed paralysis of the limbs, i.e., the patient’s muscle tone decreases, tendon reflexes are weakened, or even myasthenia occurs, with no pathological reflexes. After the acute stage, spastic paralysis occurs, and the muscle tone of the limbs increases. 2. Sensory impairment: It is manifested as the weakening or disappearance of deep and superficial sensation of patients below the injury plane, that is to say, the loss of positional sensation, pain sensation and temperature sensation, etc., and the loss of perception of the outside world. 3. Autonomic dysfunction: it can be manifested as urinary retention, incomplete urination, urinary incontinence and so on. This is mainly due to the inability of the nerves to freely control the urinary reflexes, resulting in dysfunction of the lower urinary tract. If the patient has the above symptoms, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to avoid delaying the condition.
