Our own sensation of the kidney is actually not very sensitive and is not sensitive to the localization of pain, so when we feel pain in the kidney area it may be the kidney that is hurting, or it may be because the adjacent part of the kidney is hurting, which is often referred to as low back pain.
Therefore, it is difficult to distinguish between kidney pain and low back pain in terms of the patient’s subjective sensation. Pain in the kidney area may be caused by a urinary tract disorder, or it may be caused by a lumbar spine lesion or a lesion of the lumbar muscles on both sides.
