How to reset a dislocated hip

Hip dislocations need to go to a regular hospital and be reset under the proper operation of a doctor. Commonly used reset methods include lifting and pulling method, question mark method and so on. 1. Lift and pull method: the patient lies on his back, and the affected hip and knee joints are first flexed to 90°, so that the iliopsoas muscle ligament and knee flexor muscles are relaxed. Then one hand holds the calf and presses downward, and the other forearm holds the back of the knee and pulls it upward, so that the femoral head moves forward and approaches the back wall of the joint capsule. At the same time, rotate the femoral stem internally and externally, so that the femoral head slides into the acetabulum, and the assistant pushes the femoral head toward the medullary socket at the same time to reset the femoral head. 2. Question mark method: under anesthesia, the patient lies on his back with the hip and knee flexed to 90°. The operator holds the affected limb at the ankle with one hand and places the other forearm at the popliteal fossa for upward traction. At first, the hip joint is flexed, adducted and internally rotated so that the femoral head leaves the ilium, and then one side of the continuous traction, and the other side of the joint is externally rotated, abducted, and straightened so that the femoral head slides into the acetabulum and is reset. Patients with dislocated hip joints are advised to actively cooperate with doctors for treatment and rehabilitation to avoid delays.
