Dioscorea villosa has the efficacy of clearing and resolving turbidity, warming the kidneys and inducing dampness, and has the effect of treating leucorrhea (cloudy urine like white slurry) and frequent urination.

It is a white glossy water pill, grayish-brown after removing the coating, with sweet and slightly bitter taste, composed of powdered castor seed, calamus, licorice, aconite, and salted epsom salts. It has the efficacy of clearing and resolving turbidity, warming the kidney and inducing dampness, and is mainly used for treating leucorrhea and frequent urination caused by the failure of the kidney to resolve qi and the lack of clearing and resolving turbidity.

The adverse effects of Dioscorea Villosa are not clear. It should be noted that, allergic to this product is prohibited; during the use of medication, avoid eating greasy, tea, vinegar and spicy stimulants.
