The correct massage technique for Taixi point

Taixi point can be massaged by using finger presses, finger pushes and other techniques. Taixi point belongs to the Foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian and is located in the ankle area, in the depression between the tip of the inner ankle and the Achilles tendon. It is used to treat headache, dizziness, insomnia, forgetfulness, spermatorrhea, impotence, sore throat, toothache, tinnitus, deafness, cough and asthma. Finger press technique is performed with the thumb end or threaded surface, the remaining four fingers are placed in the corresponding position to support and assist, the thumb is pressed vertically downward, or both thumbs are pressed overlappingly. The thumb is pressed vertically downward, and both thumbs can be overlapped. The thumb is pushed to the treatment area, and the remaining four fingers are placed on the opposite side or in the corresponding position for immobilization, and the wrist joint is slightly flexed. The thumb is used to push in a short, unidirectional straight line. Massage of Taixi point alone has limited effect, and can be combined with other acupuncture points for evidence-based treatment. It is recommended to be carried out by a professional physician, do not operate on your own.
