Rhinorrhea is one of the common emergencies in otolaryngology. Rhinorrhea not only brings disturbance to life, but also indicates some diseases in the organism. Usually nasal bleeding is caused by local and systemic causes. (1) Local causes: (1) Foreign body in the nasal cavity: this condition is mostly seen in children, usually due to the repeated irritation of the nasal mucosa by sharp foreign bodies in the nasal cavity, resulting in bleeding. (2) Inflammatory lesions: If the nasal cavity of the body is infected, it is easy to cause congestion and erosion of the nasal mucosa. (3) Trauma: Trauma is the main cause of nasal bleeding, usually due to trauma or surgical injury to the nasal cavity and sinuses, resulting in bleeding of the nasal mucosa or blood vessels. (4) Tumor: If there are benign and malignant tumors in the nasopharynx, sinuses and nasal cavity of the body, it will cause bleeding in the nasal cavity, and hemangioma will produce a lot of blood, and malignant tumor shows a small amount of blood repeatedly in the early stage. 2. Systemic causes: (1) Cardiovascular diseases: for example, pulmonary heart disease, hypertension, congestive heart failure, etc. can cause nasal bleeding. (2) Infectious diseases: for example, endocrine disorders, hemorrhagic fever, typhoid fever, heavy metal poisoning, measles, etc. (3) Abnormal blood components of the organism: for example, uremia, hemophilia, leukemia, aplastic anemia, etc. Usually nasal bleeding is caused by such causes as the above, and it is recommended to take timely measures according to the amount of bleeding.
