The following psychological interventions are necessary to keep the families of emotionally disturbed suspected patients sane and to give them support: 1. Psychological crisis intervention using a combination of telephone psychological assistance, Internet or face-to-face psychological counseling, multiple channels to publicize psychological first aid measures, and distribution of information on the psychological knowledge of the epidemic; and psychological counseling skills for family members of those who do not cooperate with the isolation to help them get through the situation. 2. Government departments and public media need to provide accurate and timely information about the epidemic in order to eliminate uncertainty and fear. In conclusion, helping or reinforcing the families of suspected patients to correctly understand that isolation is for the better protection of the patients and themselves will be of greater help in overcoming the epidemic.
