Sudden increase in discharge after years of menopause

Sudden increase in secretions after years of menopause is mostly due to atrophic vaginitis, vulvovaginal pseudomycosis, cervical cancer and other diseases.

1. Atrophic vaginitis: Atrophic vaginitis may be caused by the decrease of estrogen level, the decrease of body resistance, poor hygiene habits, active sex life and other factors. Patients who have been in menopause for many years may have increased vaginal discharge and accompanied by symptoms such as vulvar itching, burning and vaginal dryness.

2. Vulvovaginal pseudomycosis: Vulvovaginal pseudomycosis is mostly considered to be caused by pseudomycosis infection, or by medication, impaired immune system and other factors. Patients may manifest vaginal itching, abnormal vaginal secretion, painful sexual intercourse, etc. Some postmenopausal patients may have increased secretion.

3. Cervical cancer: Cervical cancer is caused by human papillomavirus infection, or may be induced by factors such as early sexual life and multiple sexual partners. Patients may have contact bleeding, abnormal discharge, postmenopausal vaginal bleeding and other symptoms, which are manifested as increased secretion suddenly after years of menopause.

There are many clinical reasons for the sudden increase in discharge after years of menopause, and it is recommended that the patient consult a doctor in time to find out the cause of the disease.
