How to reduce the swelling of tooth extraction

After tooth extraction, if swelling occurs in the extraction wound and face, the following methods can be taken to reduce the swelling: First, within 24 hours of swelling, cold compresses of ice can be applied to the face to reduce the swelling. After 48 hours, if the swelling is still not eliminated, you can consider applying hot towels for localized hot compresses to help eliminate the swelling. Secondly, oral anti-inflammatory drugs can be taken to reduce swelling, more commonly cephalosporin, ornidazole, levofloxacin, etc., which will be eliminated within 3-5 days. Thirdly, if there is no obvious inflammatory reaction and the local lymph nodes are swollen, physical therapy, such as electrotherapy, can be taken.
