The accuracy rate of CT examination for lung cancer is about 60%-70%, which means there is a misdiagnosis rate of about 30%-40%. Lung cancer mainly appears as soft tissue masses with uneven density, irregular shape, irregular edges and short burrs around, which appear as ground glass-like nodules on CT. Irregular soft tissue masses can be diagnosed as lung cancer through lung tumor puncture or direct excision and then biopsy can find cancer cells, which can be easily confused with lung cancer, including tuberculosis, granuloma and fungal infection. Therefore, for soft tissue masses found in lung CT to be diagnosed as lung cancer, pathology must be done.
