How to treat synovial effusion

Synovial effusions are usually seen in the knee and hip joints. For small amounts of synovial effusion, conservative treatment measures are generally taken, specifically bed rest and braking of the affected limb to promote the absorption of the effusion. Oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen or fotarine tablets, can also be taken to promote the absorption of the effusion, and local physiotherapy measures such as warm towels can be applied. If the amount of effusion is large, joint cavity aspiration will be used for treatment. After aspiration, the joint cavity will be fixed with an elastic bandage to reduce local reactive edema, etc.
