Exercise therapy for diabetics is recommended by most diabetes experts and understood by most diabetics. But do you know? Aerobic exercise alone is not enough for diabetics, and the role of impedance exercise should not be underestimated. Diabetic patients need to exercise before the risk and indications of the test and assessment, need to be a group of experts (including exercise experts) on the design of individualized exercise, exercise intensity control, exercise time limits and so on. Most diabetic patients need a combination of impedance exercise and aerobic exercise, which is the most advanced concept introduced from the American Diabetes Annual Conference by the diabetes experts attending the conference. A recent Meta-analysis published by scholars from the University of Vienna, Austria, after an eight-year-long collaborative study, suggests that for diabetic patients, aerobic exercise (e.g., running, swimming. The combination of tai chi) and impedance exercise (such as lifting dumbbells) provides better glycemic control. Combining impedance exercise with aerobic exercise was more effective in lowering HbA1c and fasting blood glucose levels in diabetics; the combination of the two types of exercise was better at lowering glucose than both aerobic and impedance exercise alone, and better at lowering triglyceride levels than either exercise alone. Impedance exercise has better efficacy for diabetic patients with obesity and stressful work.
