Can you kiss after two months of TB treatment?

Kissing is not recommended after two months of tuberculosis treatment, there is still a possibility of infection, need to continue treatment.
The main infectious source of TB is sputum smear-positive people, mainly through respiratory transmission, i.e., coughing, sneezing, laughing, talking loudly and other droplet transmission, the infectiousness is related to the amount of Mycobacterium tuberculosis excreted by the patient, the closeness of the contact, the length of the contact, and the individual’s immune status.
Therefore, the first step is to determine whether the patient is sputum smear positive or whether the sputum smear has become negative after 2 months of treatment. To minimize the risk of transmission, it is recommended that the total course of regular anti-tuberculosis treatment should be completed as prescribed by the doctor, and that normal activities such as kissing should be carried out after following the doctor’s advice.
