Fever-reducing drugs are divided into three main categories: non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, glucocorticoid antipyretics, and winterizing combinations. Drug composition mechanism is different, side effects are not the same. 1. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: representative drugs are aspirin, ibuprofen and so on. Common adverse reactions include nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea, dyspepsia, etc. Rarely, there are gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, severe pain in the stomach, bloody vomiting, dyspnea, asthma, rash, urticaria, itchy skin, vertigo, liver damage, etc. 2. Glucocorticoid: representative drugs are prednisone, dexamethasone and so on. There may be nausea and vomiting, osteoporosis, peptic ulcer, infection, headache and fatigue, emotional instability, loss of appetite, muscle pain and other adverse reactions. 3. Hibernation Combination: Representative drugs include chlorpromazine, pethidine, and so on. There may be weakness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, extrapyramidal, menstrual irregularities and other adverse reactions. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are the most common antipyretics, glucocorticoid analogs can be used in small doses when the effect of non-steroidal antipyretics is not obvious, and hibernating combinations should be used in the treatment of persistent hyperthermia after surgery. If fever symptoms occur, please ask your doctor or hospital visit in time, and use the correct medication or standardized antipyretic treatment under the guidance of professional doctors.
