Rehabilitation exercises for the hip joint are mainly to exercise the muscle strength around the hip joint in order to maintain hip joint stability. Specifically, it can be exercised through hip flexion, extension, internal rotation and external rotation movements, as well as dynamic high leg raising, squatting and stomping.
1. The patient can raise the hip joint when standing position, so that the calf is perpendicular to the ground; also can carry out backward extension and abduction to exercise quadriceps and gluteus medius; also can separate the knee joint to both sides for external rotation of the hip joint to exercise the mobility of the hip joint.
2. Patients can use the high leg to walk or run forward to exercise, in order to exercise the muscles behind the hip joint and increase the ability of hip flexion.
3. Squatting exercises or weighted squatting exercises can help patients improve hip mobility.
4. Patients can use equipment for pedaling bicycle exercises to enhance the muscle strength around the hip joint and increase the stability and flexibility of the hip joint.
Patients with bad hip joints are advised to consult their doctors in time and exercise under the doctor’s guidance to avoid injuries caused by incorrect ways of exercising on their own.
