How is asthma treated?

  Treatment guidelines: Identification of allergens, avoidance of triggers, oxygenation, antispasmodic, anti-infective, and wheezing treatment.  Pharmacotherapy: Treatment is mainly with bronchodilators and anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic drugs. Such as β2 agonists, theophyllines; anti-inflammatory drugs; glucocorticoids, leukotriene modulators, sodium cromoglycate and nidulic acid, etc.  Other treatments: Internal herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage, and compresses can also be used according to one’s condition.  Prognosis: Although asthma cannot yet be cured, asthma control can usually be achieved through effective management.
