Can you drink pediatric antisense granules with Chai Gui?



There is no contraindication for pediatric antipyretic granules and Chai Gui, but pediatric antipyretic granules are heat-cleansing and Chai Gui is warming, the two have different effects and efficacies, and are not recommended to be taken together, and need to be under the guidance of a physician to identify the evidence for rational use of medication.

Pediatric antipyretic granules are composed of scutellaria baicalensis, thuja, dazhou leaf, chaihu, platycodon, licorice. It has the efficacy of clearing away heat and relieving symptoms, relieving cough and reducing inflammation. It is used for cold and fever, sore throat, headache, nasal congestion, cough and sneezing. Adverse reactions and contraindications are not clear.

Chai Gui belongs to a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, with the efficacy of warming the meridians, relieving pain and promoting circulation of Qi. It is used for treating cold-dampness paralysis, dysmenorrhea, epigastric (abdominal) pain, and bruises. Adverse effects of Chai Gui are not clear. Chai Gui is contraindicated in cases of Yin deficiency.
