There is no best treatment for interstitial pneumonia, it can’t be cured, but only slow down the progress of the disease, the treatment methods are medication, surgery, oxygen therapy and so on, the best treatment program should be made according to the patient’s condition.
1. Drug therapy: commonly used drugs include glucocorticosteroids, immunosuppressants, drugs to slow down the progress of the disease, acid inhibitors, antibiotics and so on.
(1) Glucocorticosteroids, such as dexamethasone, are used to slow down or even curb the progression of the disease, and are suitable for patients with interstitial fibrosis associated with rheumatoid immune disease.
(2) Immunosuppressants: such as azathioprine, etc., combined with glucocorticosteroids to help slow down or even stop the progression of the disease, for patients with rheumatoid immune disease-related interstitial fibrosis.
(3) Antifibrotic drugs: for example, nidanib, pirfenidone, acetylcysteine, etc., which can slow down the rate of disease progression.
(4) Acid suppressants: e.g., omeprazole, etc., for patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease.
(5) Antibiotics: e.g. ceftriaxone, etc., are used to combat infections and are indicated for patients with co-infections.
2. Surgical treatment: lung transplantation surgery, aimed at improving the quality of patients’ survival and prolonging the survival period, applicable to patients with advanced stages of the disease.
3. Oxygen therapy: mainly nasal cannula oxygen, in severe cases, high-flow oxygen or non-invasive ventilator can relieve the patient’s symptoms and help breathing and exercise.
If the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
