The difference between normal systolic (high pressure) and diastolic (low pressure) pressure is 30-60mmHg, medically known as pulse pressure. If the pulse pressure is <30mmHg, the pulse pressure is reduced. Reduced pulse pressure can be caused by conditions such as aortic stenosis, pericardial effusion and severe heart failure.
